Felony perjury charges against Montco's Matthews dropped

A district judge threw out felony perjury charges Friday against former Montgomery County Commissioners Chairman James R. Matthews.
But the 62-year-old Republican will still face one misdemeanor count - that he swore a false oath while testifying last year before a grand jury investigating corruption allegations during his last term in office.
